SkateWithCass Weather Cancellation Policy
At SkateWithCass, the safety of our students and instructors is our top priority. Due to the nature of ice skating and rollerblading, classes may be subject to cancellation based on weather and external conditions. Please read the following policy carefully to understand how cancellations are managed.
Outdoor Class Cancellations
Outdoor classes are cancelled under the following conditions:
When the temperature feels like -10°C or below, due to the risks of frostbite.
When there are any conditions that make the ice unsafe or unstable, including:
Rain
Excessive snowfall
Excessive cold
Sudden heat leading to melting ice (common during winter/spring transitions)
If an outdoor class is cancelled, a credit will be automatically applied to the student’s account unless stated otherwise. If a scheduled make-up class is cancelled due to weather or external factors, it will be rescheduled as another make-up session.
Indoor Class Cancellations
Indoor classes may also be cancelled due to external or facility-related reasons, including:
Excessive snowfall making rinks inaccessible or roads unsafe for transportation.
Excessive rain causing unsafe roads for transportation.
Damaged or unstable ice making it unsafe for skating.
Facility-related circumstances that may require SkateWithCass to cancel or adjust registrations.
Credits & Rescheduling
All students understand upon registration that any cancelled classes will always be issued as credits and not direct make-up classes.
For example, if a student registers for four classes and two are cancelled due to external circumstances, those two cancelled sessions will be credited for future use. More information on credits can be found on our credit policy page.
SkateWithCass cannot control external factors that impact class scheduling, and credits are provided to ensure your utmost flexibility in rebooking.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we prioritize safety and maintain the best possible experience for all students.
